The understanding of logic gates and Boolean functions is most important part of an electronics engineer's skill set. Here are the top 5 books to become an expert in Logic Gates. If you would like to learn from video tutorials then go to How to become an expert in Logic Gates (Videos) post.
DIGITAL LOGIC offers the right balance of classical and up-to-date treatment of combinational and sequential logic design for a first digital logic design class.
The author provides a thorough explanation of the design process, including completely worked examples beginning with simple examples and going on to problems of increasing complexity. This text contains PLD (Programmable Logic Design) coverage. Chapter 9 develops complete, worked EPROM, PLA, and EPLD design examples.

This was the book read when I was first exposed to digital electronics. It gave me a broad understanding of digital electronics and the logic gates functions. Its a great book for digital electronics.
3.Digital Computer Electronics
Striking an ideally balanced approach, this text introduces students to microprocessor fundamentals by using a pedagogical SAP (Simple-As-Possible) model computer. The text then relates these fundamentals to three real-world examples: Intel’s 8085, Motorola’s 6800, and the 6502 chip used by Apple Computers. Instructors can focus on just one of these popular microprocessors, or include the features of others. This edition correlates closely with popular chip trainers and includes added coverage of the Intel 8088 16-bit microprocessors.
4.Designing with TTL Integrated Circuits
It is a great book to study designing with TTL in the integrated circuits. Robert L Morris and John R Miller written this great book and the McGraw-Hill published it.
5.Digital Fundamentals
The Digital Electronics courses requiring a comprehensive text. So it covers basic to advanced digital concepts with an emphasis on problem solving, troubleshooting, and applications.
